A hand pallet truck — pallet jack in the US, pallet truck in the UK, sometimes a hand pallet trolley — is still the cheapest way to move a loaded pallet across a flat floor, and we build them in volume at our Shandong plant. The line runs from a standard unit for everyday warehouse work up to a heavy-duty truck rated 5,000 kg, plus a version with a built-in weighing scale. Forks are press-formed steel, the pump is a sealed one-piece unit with a chrome-plated piston, and wheels come in polyurethane or nylon to suit your floor. Order by the container and you're dealing with the factory directly, not a reseller — trucks ship stacked and shrink-wrapped on wood bases, hundreds to a container.

Pallet Jack or Pallet Truck: What Actually Matters
Pallet jack is the North American term, pallet truck the British one — put "hand," "manual," or "hydraulic" in front of either and you're still talking about the same machine. The name on the listing doesn't tell you much. What actually separates a truck that lasts three years from one that lasts ten is fork gauge and steel thickness, pump build quality, and roller quality.
Ours is the plain version of the tool: no electronics unless you order the scale option, nothing to charge, one short grease schedule. For a buyer building out a warehouse fleet or reselling through a dealer network, that simplicity is the point — the entire spare-parts list is a seal kit and a wheel set.
Duty and capacity: from a mini pallet jack to a heavy duty pallet truck
Capacity is the first thing to lock before production starts. The heavy-duty reinforced frame tops out at a labeled 5,000 kg rating — 5,000 to 5,500 lb in North American specs. The everyday workhorse across most orders is the 2,500 kg unit, and we also build 1, 2 and 3 ton capacities to order for lighter duty.
On the small end, compact builds are made for tight back rooms and shorter pallets — same pump, shorter or narrower forks to fit the space. Tell us the pallet type, the load, and the floor, and we lock the spec before production; that beats discovering a mismatch after it lands at your dock.
For goods-in checks, the scale version carries a weighing indicator on the pump housing, so you can weigh a pallet against the packing list in one move instead of a separate trip to a floor scale.
Fork and frame geometry: long fork, narrow, low profile, four-way
Fork length and spread are build options, not different products. We make a long-fork version for double-length loads spanning two to three skids, and a narrow build for drum pallets and tight racking. An extra-wide fork handles oversize boards.
Low clearance matters for thin pallets and roll cages — the low-profile build drops the fork-entry height so it can get under boards a standard truck can't enter. For special loads there's a single-fork option, and four-way entry lets the truck pick up a load from any side. An adjustable-fork version moves the fork spread to suit mixed pallet sizes, and Euro-standard forks are available at 1,200 × 800 mm.
Container orders commonly mix standard, 2.5 t and heavy-duty frames together in the same shipment — tell us the mix you need and we quote it as one lot.
Wheels and terrain: indoor PU, plus all-terrain and rough-terrain builds
On smooth concrete, the standard tandem polyurethane roller set is the right call — quiet, no marks, low rolling resistance. A genuinely rough-terrain-capable jack is a different build entirely: large pneumatic wheels and a raised frame, quoted to order. We won't fake off-road capability on a standard chassis with the wrong wheels.
Where the machine needs to fold or travel, a lighter, stowable build is available for that use case. For wash-down and corrosive environments, we also build in stainless steel rather than painted steel.
Features: brakes, scale, hydraulics and high-lift
An optional foot or hand brake is available for ramps and slopes, fitted on request. At the core is the hydraulic pump itself — a sealed unit with a chrome-plated piston, operated by one hand lever for lift, neutral and lower. "Manual hydraulic" simply means there's no power assist.
A quick-lift stage takes up the slack before the load stage engages, so you're not pumping through dead travel. For higher lift needs, a scissor-style high-lift trolley raises the load to a comfortable working height for picking and assembly — though it still tops out well below racking height, so don't expect it to replace a stacker.
A robotic or automated pallet jack is a different, powered product category entirely — not this manual truck, and we'll say so rather than stretch the label.
Buying Direct vs. Retail and Distributor Channels
Most buyers arrive here after comparing prices at retail and distributor channels — Uline, Grainger, and brand names like Big Joe or Wesco all carry the same basic machine with distributor and retail margin layered on top of the same manufacturing cost. Buying factory-direct from the plant in Shandong removes that layer.
What's worth comparing isn't the brand on the decal — it's fork steel gauge, pump build quality, roller material, and warranty terms. Ask any supplier for those four numbers before you compare price.
Buying, pricing and warehouse use
We ship from Shandong by the container, so the real question is port and quantity rather than local stock. The core use case is warehouse work — dock loading, put-away, and picking on flat floors.
As manual equipment, it needs no operating license, unlike powered pallet trucks. It's also owner-serviceable — the spare parts list really is just a seal kit and a wheel set, so there's no service contract to sign up for.
A manual truck moves pallets — a stacker lifts them
A hand pallet truck lifts a pallet just clear of the floor; it will never put one on a rack beam. When the job turns into stacking, the step up is our semi-electric stacker for occasional lifts, or the CPDS electric stacker once lifting becomes hourly work — both are on this site with their own datasheets.
We export from Shandong with wood-base, shrink-wrapped container packing; the gallery shipment photo is an actual loaded 40 ft container, not a render. Mixed containers with stackers and reach trucks are common, and the run from quotation to loading is usually shorter than buyers expect.

Honestly, a true rough-terrain pallet jack needs large pneumatic wheels, not the small PU rollers on a standard truck. We quote a pneumatic version with air tires and a raised frame to order, rather than faking off-road ability on an indoor chassis. Tell us the surface and we spec the right wheel package.
Can I get a pallet jack with scale for goods-in checks?
We build a scale version with a weighing indicator mounted on the pump housing; it's shown in the gallery. It weighs the pallet as you lift, replacing the detour to a floor scale. Accuracy class and printer options are confirmed per order.
How much does a hand pallet truck cost, and can I buy direct?
Price moves with capacity, fork size, wheel material and order volume, so we quote FOB per configuration rather than list one number — the price you'd compare against a Uline or Harbor Freight listing is simply the factory number with no reseller on top. Can a high lift pallet jack replace a stacker?
Not really. A scissor-type high-lift trolley is built for ergonomic work positioning, and it tops out far below racking height. If pallets must land on beams, a semi-electric stacker or our CPDS walkie stacker is the honest answer — both pages list lift heights and capacities. A robotic pallet jack is a different, powered class entirely, not a manual truck.
